FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions of TPblock

> Why a polyurethane block?

Polyurethane is a very ductile material and lends itself to countless types of productions. Compared to other materials such as wood or rubber it is very resistant to abrasion and is capable of supporting very heavy loads allowing greater sensitivity and comfort.

> Advantages of TP® BLOCK compared to wooden block

TP® BLOCK offers the advantage of very little wear even on the most abrasive floors maintaining an average time of hanging to conventional blocks. This helps to better support the hoof and complete healing time as opposed to a normal wooden block that is consumed after a short period. Furthermore, wood does not offer the grip and comfort of TP® BLOCK with heavy loads and sometimes lesions on the flexor tendons of the animal.

> Advanceges that has TP® BLOCK compared to rubber block

TP®Block is made with high quality materials, certificates and non-toxic, has a high abrasion resistance and corrosion of the sewage. Overmore TP®BLOCK is light and consume less than rubber soles

> How maintain the TP® BLOCK less time on hoof?

TP® BLOCK is designed to having a very low abrasion and a longer hanging time than the normal in wood or rubber insoles. If you like to have a block hanging reduced time, we recommend simply to apply less adhesive.

> Can TP® BLOCK give a problems for scraper or shredder?

The bright orange or blue colors makes TP®BLOCK visible anywhere for a visual check on the gait of the animals and easy for recovery. Normally in detachment situations without intervention, from the scraper to the slurry tank it settles on the bottom for gravity and subsequently recovered in emptying and cleaning operations. Today AFTER two years of testing were not detected problems on the implants scraping, grinding or biogas.

> How to prevent and avoid to spread to the environment the TP® BLOCK?

In the slurry phase of the load for transfer into the barrel, we recommend applying a metallic net as filter to prevent aspiration of insoles TP BLOCK. In this way we avoid to release into the environment any blocks.

> TP® BLOCK requires more time to apply respect to traditional blocks?

No, the hooves preparation times are identical but it reduces time of application for the use of two-component glue compared to conventional methacrylate.

> With wich how kind of glue it work properly the TP® BLOCK? In how many measures are available TP® BLOCK?

TP®BLOCK works well with all glue polyurethan bi-components. Does not have good performance with traditional metacrilate glue.

> In how many measures are available TP® BLOCK?

TP®BLOCK is available in one size and symmetrical design allows to use them interchangeably on right or left hooves.
